Drying room electrical plan
Drying room power plan
Plan the electrical side of a damp-room or leak-drying setup before running dehumidifiers, air movers and heaters.
Safety boundary: this guide is for early planning only. It does not inspect hidden wiring, sign off an installation or replace a competent electrician.
List every running item
A drying setup may include dehumidifiers, air movers, background heat, extraction and lighting. Add the simultaneous load and the daily kWh estimate.
Check wet routes first
Cable routes through damp areas, doorways or high-traffic spaces can be as important as the amp number.
Keep a handoff note
Copy the load summary and send it to the manager, landlord, insurer, electrician or hire supplier so the assumptions are visible.
Equipment next step: if the load plan is realistic, compare dehumidifiers for drying jobs and keep the calculation trail with your site notes.
