Load check handoff note

What to send to an electrician or hire supplier

A short handoff checklist for temporary heaters, drying equipment, fans and portable AC load questions.

Safety boundary: this guide is for early planning only. It does not inspect hidden wiring, sign off an installation or replace a competent electrician.

Send assumptions, not guesses

Include the equipment labels, watts/amps, quantities, run time, what runs together, socket or circuit rating, and any extension-lead issues.

Add photos only where useful

Photos of labels, plugs, sockets, cable routes and consumer-unit labels can help a competent person understand the setup, but they do not replace inspection.

Keep the summary with the job

The load checker creates a copyable calculation tape so the manager, landlord, supplier or electrician can see exactly what was assumed.

Equipment next step: if the load plan is realistic, compare ventilation and air movement options and keep the calculation trail with your site notes.
