Boiler breakdown heater plan
Temporary heater plan during a boiler breakdown
A simple load and heater-count plan for shops, offices, care spaces or workrooms during a boiler failure.
Safety boundary: this guide is for early planning only. It does not inspect hidden wiring, sign off an installation or replace a competent electrician.
Do not fill every socket
A cold building can push people to plug in several heaters quickly. That is exactly when circuit load and lead risks need checking first.
Prioritise zones
Heat the most important occupied zones first, then test whether the supply can support additional heaters without relying on adaptor chains.
Use the count planner
Try 2 kW and 3 kW heater inputs in the count planner and confirm whether the building has separate circuits or a suitable temporary supply.
Equipment next step: if the load plan is realistic, compare electric heaters and keep the calculation trail with your site notes.
